Stuttgart chief sets final deadline for Bayern to complete Woltemade transfer

Bayern Facing Deadline in Woltemade Pursuit

Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle wants the Nick Woltemade transfer saga resolved before Saturday's DFL-Supercup clash with Bayern Munich. The two clubs are locked in a stalemate over valuation, preventing any formal negotiations from taking place.

"It’s been six and a half weeks now. At some point, enough is enough," Wehrle told Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
“If you really want to sign the player, you should be capable of finding a solution in that time. We play the Supercup on Saturday. Everything should be settled by kickoff at the latest."

Bayern have already agreed personal terms with Woltemade but their €55 million offer – including bonuses – was rejected by Stuttgart. This prompted Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl to declare "the matter is off the table" due to the difficulty of negotiations. However, some believe this comment may simply be part of the ongoing transfer mind games.
