Tottenham: a possible imminent departure for Yves Bissouma?
Spurs Star Left Out for Super Cup After Repeat Lateness
Bissouma Faces Disciplinary Action From Frank
Yves Bissouma will not be with Tottenham Hotspur for their UEFA Super Cup clash against Paris Saint-Germain this Wednesday, August 13th. Manager Thomas Frank confirmed the Malian midfielder's absence is due to repeated tardiness.
"He has been late on several occasions, and this time, it was one too many," Frank said at a press conference. "As a coach, you need to show your players plenty of love, but you also need to set standards and enforce consequences."
The decision comes as a surprise given the already depleted Spurs squad. James Maddison is injured, while Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin, Bryan Gil, and Manor Solomon are also missing.
This isn't the first time Bissouma's punctuality has been an issue. He was disciplined for minor behavioral problems last season. However, this latest breach of discipline could have far more significant repercussions, potentially impacting both his future at Tottenham and his contract.
