Rangers Strike A Deal With Dutch Side For This Exciting Attacking Ace: What Would He Bring To Martin’s Attack

Rangers Set to Unleash £5M Attacking Ace

Deal For Oliver Antman Could Be Sealed Within 48 Hours

Rangers are on the verge of securing a new attacking weapon as they reportedly close in on a £5 million deal for Go Ahead Eagles' star forward, Oliver Antman. Sources indicate the transfer could be officially announced within the next 24 to 48 hours.

The 23-year-old Finnish international boasts a promising career trajectory. After honing his skills at clubs like KOPSE, HJK, CF Damm, and Legirus Inter in his youth, Antman made his mark in senior football with TiPS and Gnistan in Finland's lower leagues. A €50k transfer to Danish side Nordsjælland saw him rack up over 100 appearances before a brief loan spell with Groningen in the second half of the 2022-23 season.

Following Groningen's relegation, Antman returned to North Zealand and then made a €1.5m move last summer to Eredivisie side Go Ahead Eagles, where he has shone brightly.

Antman: A Force to be Reckoned With in Deventer

In 36 appearances across all competitions, the young talent netted six times and provided an impressive 16 assists, playing a pivotal role in Go Ahead's historic KNVB Cup victory. Now, he is set for a new challenge at Ibrox as part of Russell Martin's ambitious Rangers project.

Antman's style of play centers around ball retention, drawing defenders and creating space for his teammates. His lay-offs, dribbles, and passing range are crucial assets that can inject more flair and finesse into Rangers' attack.

Joining a Growing Attacking Force at Ibrox

The Gers have already welcomed Djeidi Gassama, who made an immediate impact with a goal on his debut against Panathinaikos. Jeserun Rak-Sakyi provides another dynamic option up front, potentially challenging for a starting spot alongside Antman if he joins the club permanently.

A Swift Transfer Could Secure Antman's Starting Spot

Antman, primarily a right winger but also capable of playing inverted on the left, could quickly establish himself as a key player under Martin. With Kieran Dowell deployed as a makeshift wideman against Panathinaikos, an immediate transfer for Antman would allow him to compete for a starting role. While he won't be eligible for the Champions League qualifier second leg, Antman is expected to make his debut in Rangers' Scottish Premiership opener against Motherwell this weekend.
