Pjanic tells Juventus to sign Newcastle star this summer
Juventus Legend Pjanic: Tonali is The Perfect Midfield Addition
Former Bianconeri Star Gives Verdict on Newcastle Star
Juventus legend Miralem Pjanic believes Sandro Tonali is exactly what his former club needs to strengthen their midfield. The Italian international's performances for Newcastle have caught the eye of Pjanic, who sees him as a perfect fit for the Turin giants.
"I would sign Tonali; someone like him is worth the effort," Pjanic told Gazzetta dello Sport. "He’s Italian and has great potential. He won with Milan and has continued to improve in England. He’s humble, strong, and with a touch of quality: what Juventus need."
Juventus' pursuit of Tonali isn't new. The club was linked with the midfielder before the end of last season when Cristiano Giuntoli served as director. Now, Damien Comolli holds that position, but Pjanic believes a move for Tonali should still be prioritized.
Pjanic Welcomes Chiellini's Rise and Talks Allegri's Milan Move
Pjanic expressed his happiness with recent developments at Juventus, highlighting the promotion of Giorgio Chiellini to a more prominent role. "I always have Juventus in my heart, and I’m happy to see Giorgio at the club – someone who brings stability and a sense of belonging, appreciated by players and fans alike," Pjanic said. "Chiello loves Juventus. He knows the history and the locker room; he will be incredibly valuable.”
The former midfielder also commented on Massimiliano Allegri's appointment as Milan manager. "I often talk to Max, we had wonderful years together at Juventus,” Pjanic revealed. “He’s a friend and it’s great to see him in Milan. He and Conte are the best in Italy, the most successful. Few handle the pressure like Allegri. Milan are aiming to finish in the top four, but when you have somebody like Max on the bench, it’s normal to expect even more.”
