Imports Jump Despite Overall Market Decline

Kazakhstan's imports of Moroccan-made clothing surged by roughly 12% in the first five months of 2025, reaching approximately 89 tons. This represents a significant increase compared to the overall apparel import market, which saw a decline of over 20% year-on-year during the same period.

Data compiled by Kazakh economic news outlet LS reveals that out of a total of over 57,000 tons of apparel imported by Kazakhstan between January and May 2025, Moroccan clothing accounted for approximately 1.5%.
