Injured Manchester United starter back in training pre-Arsenal clash
Onana Targets Arsenal Return as United Goalkeeper Re-Joins Training
Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has resumed full training after his hamstring injury and is aiming for a return against Arsenal next weekend.
Despite missing all of United's recent friendlies, Onana reportedly remains confident he'll be fit for the Premier League opener. He’s now back in goalkeeping drills at Carrington, having previously been limited to non-contact sessions during the team's tour.
“I feel good, I feel great,” Onana said last week. “It’s been a few difficult weeks but, yes, hopefully, I will be back for the start of the season.
"I’m enjoying the training with my guys and we are looking forward.”
His potential return would be a major boost for United, who initially faced a timeline that saw Onana sidelined until at least August 23rd - a week after their clash against Arsenal.
United's Injury Updates Ahead of Arsenal Clash
Lisandro Martinez will miss the game due to his ACL injury, but Joshua Zirkzee is expected to be fit for the match. Noussair Mazraoui’s participation remains uncertain as he undergoes assessment for a hamstring issue.
