3 players qualify for AIG Women's British after strong finish in Scotland

Triple Threat: Three Players Punch Tickets to AIG Women's British Open

Three golfers secured their spots at the prestigious AIG Women's British Open following a dramatic conclusion to the ISPS Handa Women's Scottish Open. Julia Lopez Ramirez, Paula Reto, and Mary Liu finished strong enough to earn coveted berths in the LPGA's final major of the season. This victory allows them to skip the Final Qualifying tournament scheduled for tomorrow at Pyle & Kenfig in Bridgend, Wales.

Lopez Ramirez Makes a Statement

Rookie star Julia Lopez Ramirez, known for her impressive length off the tee, finished tied for third after firing a stellar 65 on Sunday. The LPGA rookie, who shared the final pairing with eventual U.S. Women's Open winner Maja Stark earlier this year, savored her success:
"It was a really solid week for me, and it's the best finish this year, so very happy," said Lopez Ramirez. "My game was in a very good place, very consistent. I played under par every day. I think honestly that's a success and growing my game, and I'm excited for having the opportunity to play next week and to show up again."

Reto Rides Experience to Success

Veteran Paula Reto, 35, secured a solo seventh-place finish with a closing 71. The South African boasts two top-30 finishes at the Women's British Open in just six starts. Reto expressed her excitement after narrowly securing her spot:
"Obviously, I love that you don't have to hit perfect shots," Reto said of links golf. "So just that's something I really love to do, and being able to qualify today, I made like a good save on the last hole. I was really hoping it will bring me in."

Liu Dreams Come True

Mary Liu, hailing from China, started her week with a 76 but bounced back to finish solo fifth, birdieing the 18th on Sunday. For the second-year LPGA player, qualifying for the British Open feels like "a dream come true."
