Wings Make Disappointing Paige Bueckers Decision Before Aces Game
Wings' Star Bueckers Gets a Rest Before Aces Clash
Dallas struggles this season, aiming to turn things around against the Aces.
The Dallas Wings are facing a challenging 2025 WNBA season, currently holding a disappointing 7-18 record and placing them at the bottom of the league standings. Despite the team's struggles, rookie sensation Paige Bueckers continues to shine as a beacon of hope for the Wings.
Bueckers has been named a starter for the WNBA All-Star Game and is averaging an impressive 18.1 points, 5.6 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals per game. Her standout performances have made her a frontrunner for Rookie of the Year honors.
Bueckers Out For Aces Matchup
In a surprising move, the Wings announced that Bueckers will be resting for their upcoming game against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday. This news was shared by Wings reporter Myah Taylor via Twitter:
"Wings guard Paige Bueckers has been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Las Vegas Aces. The Wings are resting her."
The Aces, currently sitting at 12-13 in seventh place, pose a tough challenge for the Wings who have already lost both matchups to them this season by a combined eight points.
Bueckers has averaged an impressive 18 points, 6.5 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game against Las Vegas in their two previous encounters.
The Sunday matchup between the Wings and Aces is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. ET at the College Park Center in Dallas, Texas.
