Rabat – A troubling trend emerged in July, with Morocco's road safety agency reporting a steep rise in urban road fatalities. Compared to July 2022, deaths surged by 48.9%, according to figures presented Tuesday in Rabat.

While the total number of accidents in cities climbed 8.1% and overall casualties rose 4.2%, Morocco witnessed a decline in national road deaths by 5.2%.
