Road accidents claim 32 lives in Morocco's urban areas over past week

Deadly Week on Moroccan Roads

Thirty-two people lost their lives and 3,134 were injured in urban road accidents across Morocco between August 4th and 10th. The General Directorate for National Security (DGSN) attributed the carnage to a series of avoidable errors.

Driver Negligence Leading Cause

The DGSN report identified driver inattention, failure to yield right-of-way, speeding, and pedestrian carelessness as major contributing factors to the 2,280 accidents recorded. Of those injured, 150 sustained serious wounds.
