Public Sector Employees in Morocco Receive Second Wage Increase
One Million Workers See July Paychecks Boosted by 500 Dirhams
In line with April's social dialogue agreements, the Moroccan government has implemented the second phase of its general wage increase. Approximately one million public sector employees saw their July paychecks rise by 500 dirhams ($50), completing a 1,000-dirham net monthly increase for those who hadn't previously benefited from other raises.
The raise fulfills commitments made during the April social dialogue and reflects the government's efforts to improve the financial well-being of public sector workers.
