A Moroccan court ordered activist Ibtissam Lachgar to remain in custody and face immediate trial on charges of insulting Islam. The Rabat Court of First Instance issued the decision following Lachgar's arrest over a social media post deemed offensive to God, according to the public prosecutor’s office.
Lachgar was brought before the public prosecutor at the court.
