Rabat: Moroccan authorities have apprehended activist Ibtissam Lachgar following a social media post deemed offensive to Islam.
The public prosecutor’s office in Rabat announced Sunday that Lachgar was arrested after sharing a photo of herself wearing a shirt containing phrases considered blasphemous alongside a caption deemed insulting to Islam. A judicial investigation has been launched into the case.
