14 Suspects Arrested in Joint Operation Spanning Austria, Netherlands, and Germany
Vienna – Austrian authorities announced the dismantling of a sophisticated international criminal network specializing in ATM explosions and robberies. A joint operation involving law enforcement agencies from Austria, the Netherlands, and Germany led to the arrest of 14 suspects, primarily Dutch nationals of Moroccan origin. The Federal Criminal Police Office (BK) revealed that since the beginning of 2025, Austria has witnessed a surge in these types of crimes.
"This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to combating transnational organized crime," stated an Austrian law enforcement official. "We will continue to work closely with our international partners to bring those responsible for these serious offenses to justice."
