2025 Marhaba Operation Experiences “Unprecedented” Crowds - French Media
Moroccan Diaspora Floods Home for Summer
Millions Return, Fueled by "Loyalty" and Tourism Boom
This year's Marhaba operation, which facilitates the return of Moroccan expatriates to their homeland during summer, is experiencing a surge in numbers unprecedented in recent history.
According to Beur FM, a French radio station specializing in North African communities, over 2.7 million Moroccans have crossed borders since June. The influx has led the station to declare this Marhaba operation a testament to "the diaspora's loyalty" and "the tourism boom."
Between June 10th and August 4th alone, nearly 2.8 million Moroccan expatriates returned to Morocco.
