**Casablanca, Morocco -** A Kenyan national was apprehended in Casablanca on April 8th at the request of US prosecutors. He faces accusations of participating in an international arms trafficking network supplying military-grade weapons to Mexican drug cartels, including the notorious Jalisco New Generation Cartel.  

### Extradition Proceedings Underway

The suspect is currently undergoing extradition procedures to face charges in the United States. The US Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of New York stated that further details would be released at a later date.

 US President Donald Trump’s Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff and ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee will travel to Gaza on Friday. 

Their mission: to personally inspect aid distribution sites and meet with residents of the war-torn territory.

A formal letter addressed to the consular section highlights that many case numbers have been eligible for months, according to the US State Department’s Visa Bulletin.  

**Conflicting Information Fuels Confusion**

Adding to the frustration, applicants report conflicting information between the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC), which claims files have been forwarded, and the Casablanca consulate, which denies receiving them. 

Repeated inquiries sent to US authorities in Casablanca, Rabat, and Washington have yielded inconsistent responses. Many winners say they have already resigned from jobs or abandoned studies in preparation for emigration.
