**French Prosecutors Seek Criminal Court Proceedings for Moroccan Football Star**


Prosecutors in France have formally requested that Moroccan footballer Achraf Hakimi stand trial for alleged rape. The request, filed on August 1st, follows a lengthy investigation into an incident that reportedly occurred in February 2023.  

If convicted, the 26-year-old could face up to 15 years in prison.
