##  Wheelchair Journey: Double Amputee Makes Perilous Crossing to Canary Islands 

A Moroccan woman who lost both legs in a childhood accident has arrived in the Canary Islands after a harrowing sea journey from Morocco. Rescued on July 30 alongside 39 other migrants, including women and children, she reached Lanzarote, one of the Canary islands, using a wheelchair.  Reports state she was visibly exhausted upon arrival.

**Risking Everything for a New Life**

The 39-year-old woman’s journey underscores the desperation many face in seeking better lives beyond Morocco's borders. While details surrounding her specific reason for leaving remain unclear, the perilous crossing is a testament to the lengths people are willing to go to escape hardship and find safety.  


"We were shocked by her resilience," said a rescue worker involved in the operation. "It takes incredible strength of will to undertake such a journey under these circumstances."
