## Moroccan Ports Surge Ahead: Traffic Volume Soars Over 11%  

**Landmark Growth Driven by Both Domestic and Transshipment Sectors**


Moroccan ports are experiencing a remarkable surge in activity, handling a total volume of 130 million tons of commercial traffic in the first half of 2025. This represents a significant increase of 11.6% compared to the same period last year, when 116.4 million tons were handled.

Domestic traffic contributed 65.7 million tons to this impressive figure, showing an 8% rise.  The transshipment sector also played a crucial role, reaching a volume of 64.2 million tons –  a testament to Morocco's growing position as a key maritime hub.
