Hamas has condemned the Israeli government's plan to seize control of Gaza City, labeling it a "new war crime" and vowing severe consequences if implemented. 

“The Zionist cabinet’s approval of plans to occupy Gaza City and evacuate its residents constitutes a new war crime that the occupation army intends to commit against the city,” Hamas said in a statement Friday. “This aggression will cost them dearly.”

## Hostage Video Released by Hamas Shows Israeli Man in Dire Condition

**Gaza City:** The Ezzedine Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Palestinian militant group Hamas, released a minute-long video Friday showing an Israeli hostage held in Gaza.  

The emaciated and bearded man, identified by AFP and Israeli media as Evyatar David, was seized on October 7, 2023. The video depicts David inside a narrow concrete tunnel, appearing weak and malnourished.
