Moroccan and Senegalese football leaders met in Rabat Friday to discuss strengthening ties between the two nations. 

Fouzi Lekjaa, president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), hosted Abdoulaye Sow, newly elected president of the Senegalese Football Federation, at FRMF headquarters. The meeting took place during Sow’s official visit to Morocco.

"The meeting was centered around strengthening bilateral cooperation in football development," said a source close to the matter.

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) announced sweeping reforms on Wednesday, August 6, following an executive board meeting chaired by President Fouzi Lekjaa. The meeting focused on Morocco's recent success in hosting continental competitions and outlined preparations for upcoming events, including the 2025 U-17 Women’s World Cup and the 2030 men's FIFA World Cup bid.

The reforms include stricter disciplinary rules and regulations aimed at promoting fair play and accountability within the Moroccan football landscape.  Details of these changes were not immediately disclosed.
