## Deion Sanders: 'Cancer-Free' Coach Returns to Colorado After Secret Battle

**NFL Legend Brett Favre Shocked by News of Primetime's Quiet Fight**


Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders has returned to the sidelines after undergoing surgery for bladder cancer earlier this year. The 57-year-old revealed his diagnosis and successful treatment during a press conference on Monday, emphasizing that he is now cancer-free. 

Sanders credits his medical team for catching the disease early, attributing his positive prognosis to their swift action. "I have never questioned God," Sanders shared with Michael Irvin. "I can’t ask, ‘Why me?’ when He’s blessed me with so much."  He continued, explaining that this experience has only deepened his faith and driven him to understand God's plan.

Despite the challenges of recovery, including significant lifestyle changes since having his bladder removed, Sanders embraces the journey ahead.  He urges others to prioritize routine health screenings, revealing his cancer was discovered during a vascular scan meant to monitor blood clots.


**NFL Family Rallies Around Coach Prime**

The news of Sanders' battle came as a shock to many in the football world, including former teammate Brett Favre. “It totally shocked me,” said Favre, who played alongside Sanders for a season with the Atlanta Falcons. "Thank God they found it and it was a successful surgery. I’m just thankful that the prognosis looks good.”

Favre, who recently received his own diagnosis of Parkinson's disease, praised Sanders' resilience, recalling his former teammate's unwavering dedication to practice.  "I’m not surprised he’s digging his heels in and going to keep coaching,” Favre said. “Not that he needs my advice, but just keep doing what you’re doing. You’re inspiring so many people. Just keep it rolling.”

Back on the sidelines in Boulder, Sanders called it "unbelievable" to be surrounded by his players again.  After leading the Buffaloes to a successful 9-4 record last season, he faces new challenges with star quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter now playing in the NFL.
