CAF Appoints Twanyanyukwa for WAFCON Final Showdown

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed Namibian referee Antsino Twanyanyukwa as the official for Saturday’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON Morocco-2024) final.

Twanyanyukwa will oversee the highly anticipated clash between host nation Morocco and defending champions Nigeria at Rabat's Olympic Stadium. Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. GMT+1.

Support Crew Assembled

The referee will be supported by a team of experienced officials: Alice Umutesi (Rwanda) as assistant 1, and Tabara Mbodji (Senegal) as assistant 2. CAF has also announced the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team, led by Salima Mukansanga (Rwanda), with Letticia Viana (Eswatini) as VAR 1 assistant, and Diana Chikotesha (Zambia) as VAR 2 assistant.

Third Place Match to Heat Things Up

The day before the final, South Africa and Ghana will battle it out for third place at the same venue.
