Villarreal's Akhomach Back From Knee Injury, Ready for 2025-26 Season

Villarreal CF has received a major boost ahead of the 2025-26 season with the return of Moroccan international Ilias Akhomach. The 21-year-old winger has fully recovered from a serious knee injury sustained last November.

Rehab Complete

Akhomach tore his right anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in November, sidelining him for months. He has now successfully completed his rehabilitation program and is cleared to rejoin training.

"Ilias Akhomach has finished his recovery process following the injury to his right knee," a club statement confirmed on Friday. "The Moroccan forward is now available for selection."
