Villagers in Azilal protest over poor road, lack of clean drinking water
Dust and Discontent: Azilal Villagers Demand Change
Residents from Douar Aknan, a remote village in Azilal province, took their grievances to the provincial headquarters Monday morning. They marched, demanding urgent improvements to basic infrastructure.
The villagers say a deteriorating road has made travel increasingly difficult, particularly during heavy rains. “The road is in very poor condition,” stated one resident. “It’s almost impassable when it rains.” They also called for access to clean drinking water.
Their demands come as the region faces challenges with both physical infrastructure and basic sanitation.
