A surge in addiction among Moroccan youth is being directly linked to a growing mental health crisis. A recent report by Morocco’s Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CESE) reveals that depression, anxiety, and emotional distress are pushing many young people toward drugs, gambling, and digital dependency.

The CESE report found that approximately 3% of Moroccans meet the criteria for addiction.
