Dam Levels Plunge: Morocco Faces Growing Water Concerns

Water Reserves Fall to 35.3%, Raising Fears of Increased Stress

Morocco's national dam fill rate has plummeted to 35.3 percent as of August 4th, a significant drop from nearly 50 percent recorded in mid-April. This decline leaves the country with just under 6 billion cubic meters of water stored across a total capacity of 16.76 billion cubic meters.

The diminishing reserves are fueling anxieties about heightened water stress within Morocco.
