Morocco Tightens Cyber Defenses Amid Growing Threats

Parliamentary Response Reveals Heightened Security Measures

Morocco is stepping up its cybersecurity defenses in the face of rising threats to critical infrastructure and public institutions.

Minister Delegate for National Defense Administration Abdellatif Loudiyi revealed this information in a written response to Parliament, stating that penetration tests and vulnerability scans were conducted across dozens of sectors in 2024. This intensified effort aims to protect vital systems nationwide from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks.

“These audits are essential to identifying weaknesses and vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them,” Loudiyi said. “Our priority is to ensure the resilience of our critical infrastructure and safeguard sensitive data.”
