Abyan, Yemen: A devastating shipwreck off the coast of Yemen has claimed the lives of at least 27 migrants, leaving over 100 more missing.

"At this stage, the deaths of 27 people are confirmed, their bodies have been recovered," stated one security source. "Searches are ongoing."

A second source confirmed the figures, adding that the incident occurred in the waters off Abyan province.
